There was a minor upset in Ljubljana where their close opponent SlovenianCedevita Ol. (10-4) was defeated by first ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (11-2) 83-72 on Saturday. Buducnost outrebounded Cedevita Ol. 35-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for French center Jerry Boutsiele (207-1992) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Nigerian-American Rasheed Sulaimon (194-1994, college: Maryland) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American DJ Stewart Jr (197-1999, college: MSU) with 17 points and the other American import guard Joseph Girard III (185-2000, college: Clemson) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Buducnost . Defending Montenegrin champion maintains first place with 11-2 record which they share with defeated Cedevita Ol. . Defending Slovenian champion Cedevita Ol. still keeps top position with four games lost.
